Apprenticeships At Metrol

Apprenticeships At Metrol

Here at Metrol Springs we are proud to support the development of the young apprentices making their way through the ranks.

Our 2017 apprentices are Jordan Taylor, Layton Billson and Liam Jacobs. We have in place a comprehensive training schedule, covering all aspects of our mechanical engineering environment.

"I work at Metrol Springs as an apprentice in the assembly area which involves assembling springs and charging them with nitrogen. By the end of my apprenticeship I am hoping to be a full-time machinist." Jordan

"My role is apprentice machinist at Metrol Springs. This consists of running and setting CNC machines and working with the manual lathe; this counts towards my course work and final grade. I also calibrate tools for the company which gives me a good understanding of how they work. By the end of my apprenticeship I hope to be in a full-time role within the company." - Layton

"As an apprentice at Metrol Springs, I'm currently working as a Welder and Machinist. My training also includes working on the manual lathes and learning how to set, operate and programme 5-axis CNC machines. By the end of my apprenticeship I hope to have gained a great deal of knowledge and experience in engineering." - Liam

We are strongly committed to the quality training of youngsters in our company, they are after all, our future.
