The curve in these spring washers gives it a lighter pressure and the inherent ability to maintain superior flexibility. As a result, they are an excellent choice when you need to support small loads with a wide deflection range. One of the most significant benefits of this spring washer design is that its spring rates remain uniform over the deflection range whilst having a linear load-deflection property. The curved spring washers can also eliminate axial play caused by vibrations. Type A (left) is recommended for screws with rounded heads, and type B (right) for screws with hexagon heads.
